Guppy Guru would like to acknowledge the generosity of several community members who have gone out of their way to ensure deserving individuals have the opportunity to share in this wonderful hobby.
Mr Jeremy Sharp (pictured below) and Ms Donna Day displayed extraordinary generosity in donating a range of tanks, filters and ornaments. These items will certainly be put to good use in our quarantine / holding tank area as well as in the homes and businesses of deserving fish foster carers. Thank-you so much for selfless kindness.
Other individuals who warrant a special mention include two members from the popular on-line Queensland Aquarium Forum ( www.qldaf.com )
Forum member 'Kenster', who resides in Mt Gravatt East, has provided a large number of tropical fish (platys and swordtails) at a minimal cost to Guppy Guru. These fish are now residents in tanks located in school classrooms and, more recently, a donated aquarium at the Qualtime Day Respite Centre, North Brisbane.
Sunshine Coast resident. Mr Ryan O'Donnell (pictured below), has been a major supporter of our efforts to introduce the joys of fishkeeping to new hobbyists.
Mr O'Donnell's frequent donations of quality heaters and filters are valuable contributions and have found their way into several foster carer tanks. Ryan is also a Moderator on the forum www.qldaf.com and is well known for his specialisation in South American Biotopes (Dwarves + Eartheaters)as well as his spectacular aquarium photography as shown in these beautiful examples below:
